Wevita Wewa Reserve is a small water compound that spreads over 7 Acer’s of limited land. Our Lady's Church was established in 1820 by the Chetti community of Colombo and renovated in 2009. It is located at 13 New Chetty Street, Colombo. The name Our Lady of Sorrows comes from the Latin translation of Mater Dolorosa. In 1990, the Archbishop of Colombo announced it as the New Chetty Street Church for the Kochchikade parishioners. There are about 2000 Catholic families in this parish.
